Do DTV Holders Need to Do 90 Day Reporting?

Yes. All foreign nationals staying in Thailand on long-term visas, including Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) holders, are required to report their address to Thai immigration every 90 days. This is a legal requirement under Thai immigration law that applies regardless of visa type.

The DTV Online Reporting Challenge

Most DTV visa holders are unable to use the official online reporting system at https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/ because the online system requires you to have reported in person at least once. Every time you exit and re-enter Thailand, this resets your reporting status, requiring another in-person visit before online reporting becomes available again.

The One Exception

The only exception is if the DTV visa holder completes their one-time 6-month extension while remaining in Thailand. After this in-country extension, your subsequent 90-day report becomes eligible for submission through the official online system.
